Haiku Hands

Haiku Hands’ new visual identity is reflective of their rebellious, loud, fun, lively sound. Bold, expressive letter forms each reflect a different aspect of their style, coming together in their logo to reflect the band's inability to be defined. The defiance between the conflicting typefaces is reminiscent of their lyrics that challenge social norms. The powerful attitude that Haiku Hands exude as artists is embodied through a loud colour palette- with each colour reflecting a member. Hot pink, cool purple and bright yellow shout at the viewer amidst a grey-scale backdrop. The personality of the logo comes to life when animated, rapidly changing shape and form like it is encouraging the viewer to dance along with it.

The theme of face covering continued, these images/video content show how ‘Haiku Hands’’ music makes us feel. Overall, the new identity I have created is not an attempt to assign the band to a certain genre, but a celebration of what makes Haiku Hands unique.
